Interoperability LIPs ready for spring and other news from Berlin event
Lisk presented the Lisk Center Berlin in a livestream. More than 300 attendees followed the online event and the Youtube recording was viewed by more than 800 people.

The agenda was full of speeches, including tech presentations about Lisk SDK 5.0.0, Lisk Core 3.0.0, and Lisk Interoperability.

Max Kordek, CEO, showcased development-related achievements (36 LIPs implemented and 19,500+ Commits on the GitHub repositories) and moderated the lineup, introducing the speakers.
Monica Tartau, Marketing and Events Lead, revealed the community space and the benefits for developers. Shusetsu Toda, Lead Backend Developer, focused his speech on Lisk SDK and Lisk Core, and announced that in December Betanet v5 will be live.

The livestream continued with Manu Nelamane Siddalingegowda, Lead Backend Developer. Manu hosted a live coding session, showing how easy, fast and secure is the creation of NFTs on Lisk blockchain.

Then, two winners of the Lisk Builder Program explained the reasoning behind choosing the Lisk SDK to build their projects. Thanks to this program, Endro started the Arcado Network while Fernando built the Fit Project proof of concept.

The last – and more desired talk – was about Lisk interoperability. Alessandro Ricottone, Research Scientist, revealed many details about this phase. The team already finalized the first and second steps (state-of-the-art overview and definition of the direction) and is working on specifications for the chosen solution. All interoperability LIPs will be revealed during the Lisk.js 2021 event in spring.
The even recap is published here and the recording is here.

Lisk SDK 5.1.0 is closed and merged into SDK 5.0.0
Just one month after creating the project board for Lisk SDK 5.1.0, the team coded all the listed issues and decided to merge the changes into the v5, that is already completed. The final suite will be released in less than one month, as the Betanet v5 is planned for December.
