Lisk Weekly News Roundup – Week 38
Bringing you the best Lisk news of the week! Keep up to date with the Lisk blockchain platform in a few minutes read.
Asia tour – Shanghai
This week was an exciting week for the Lisk HQ team. Max and Thomas started their week on the Global Blockchain Summit in Shanghai and after the summit they met with many investors and delegates. On Twitter, they hinted about opening an office in Shanghai, let’s see where that goes in the future!
Asia tour – Seoul
After Shanghai, the two took the plan to Seoul, the capital of South-Korea, a country where crypto is huge. On Wednesday, they had a Lisk Meetup hosted by ‘The Blockchainers’. On Thursday Max and Thomas probably had a hangover, because apparently they drank a lot of wine 😉
On Thursday though, Max appeared on the National Korean TV, on the Coin No. 1 show to discuss the future of Lisk and blockchain as a whole. A full recap of the interview will be posted on our website this week. You can watch the entire interview on YouTube.
There was a very busy schedule as Max and Thomas met with several blockchain projects in Seoul to pitch the Lisk blockchain platform and did more than just one interview. We don’t know the outcomes of these pitches of course, but it’s nice to see that Lisk is working very hard on the adoption of the platform and get the world excited for its possibilities.
Asia tour – Tokyo
Japan is booming after the apparent crypto ban in China so the timing for Lisk HQ to go to Japan couldn’t be better. First stop: Tokyo. On Friday, Lisk HQ tweeted that the demand was so overwhelming, they had to schedule a second meetup in Tokyo. That’s great news of course! Max and Thomas met with the blockchain community in Tokyo on Friday and Saturday. There was no news posted about this unfortunately. A video of one of the meetups can be found on YouTube.
Six new Lisk employees
Lisk is doing a great job on keeping us up to date about the new employees. On Tuesday, they posted a pretty extensive blog post about 6 ‘new’ team members: Lucas, Francois, Mona, Jennifer, Kuba and Jacob. It’s exciting to see that Lisk is finally getting some marketing power in their team, and we’re curious to see where this leads to. There are still more than 8 positions open in the company, so if you’re interested in a career in the blockchain industry be sure to check out the Lisk careers page.
Probably the most talked about topic: Lisk re-branding. We finally got an update on the whole re-branding process and it’s looking very good. The re-branding process is being split up in several phases and the first phases are already finished. It seems like we will first get some teasers and finally see the full re-branding released in November. Want to read more about the re-branding? Check our previous post.
